Patna: The first evening of the New Year became memorable for visitors at Eco Park in Patna when Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar arrived for a walk on Wednesday. From early hours, the park was already filled with families, elderly people and children who had come to enjoy the holiday. When people came to know that the chief minister was present in the park, excitement spread quickly, and the atmosphere became even more cheerful.
Nitish Kumar walked through different parts of the park and warmly greeted the people present. With folded hands, he wished everyone a happy New Year and spent a few moments interacting with children and young visitors. Many people were happy to see the chief minister so close and in such a simple manner. Several visitors took photos and videos on their mobile phones, calling the moment a pleasant surprise and a good way to start the year.
During his visit, the chief minister also took stock of the cleanliness, greenery and overall maintenance of Eco Park. He spoke to officials and asked them to further improve the facilities so that visitors could have a better and safer experience. He said that public places like parks are important for people’s health, relaxation and social life, and the government is committed to keeping them clean, green and well-managed.
Senior administrative officers and security personnel were present with the chief minister to ensure smooth arrangements. The visit passed peacefully without any disturbance. Many visitors said that seeing the chief minister among common people made them feel connected and valued. As he left the park, Nitish Kumar extended his New Year greetings to the people of Bihar and expressed hope that the coming year would bring development, peace and prosperity to the state, making the first day of the New Year at Eco Park truly special.
