Siwan: Notorious criminal Dinesh Lal Yadav, also known as Lali Yadav, was shot dead on Monday near the temple in Chainpur market, just 50 metres from the local police station. Four attackers on two motorcycles opened fire, killing him instantly.
The incident caused immediate panic in the area, with shopkeepers closing their shops and fleeing the scene. Social workers rushed to the market to gather information as residents voiced fear and anger over the murder.
Angry locals staged road blockades, raising slogans against the police administration. Questions are being raised over the security in the area, given the proximity of the crime to the police station.
Siwan Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Tiwari confirmed that a special team has been formed to investigate the incident and assured that the perpetrators would be arrested soon. Authorities have appealed to local residents to cooperate with the investigation.
