Patna: OnePlus has given a first glimpse of its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15, ahead of its expected launch in October 2025.
The device will be the company’s first to run on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which was introduced earlier this year as the “world’s fastest processor”. Built on TSMC’s 3nm process, the chip promises up to 23% better performance and 20% greater power efficiency compared with its predecessor.
The phone was briefly unveiled by OnePlus India’s chief executive, Robin Liu, during the Snapdragon Summit Global Highlights event. While its back design appears similar to the OnePlus 13 series, the company has confirmed several key upgrades.
Among them is a 165Hz refresh rate display, aimed particularly at gamers seeking smoother visuals. The device will also ship with ColorOS 16, based on Android 16. The camera system has been redesigned with a rectangular module positioned in the top-left corner of the rear panel, though specifications have not yet been disclosed.
The OnePlus 15 will join rival flagships such as Xiaomi’s 17, Honor’s Magic 8 and Realme’s GT 8 Pro in debuting with Qualcomm’s new processor. Further details are expected to be announced at the OnePlus Gaming Conference in China on September 26.
