Patna: AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi intensified his criticism of Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav during campaign events in Belwa and Bahadurganj on Friday, urging voters in Seemanchal to support his party in order to “change the atmosphere” of the region rather than merely replace a government.
Addressing a crowd in Belwa, Owaisi said Seemanchal had been forced to endure “decades of neglect”, arguing that the lack of local employment had led to constant migration since Independence. “People here have had to leave their homes to survive. That is the reality no party has addressed,” he told supporters.
Owaisi reserved his sharpest comments for Tejashwi, describing him as “immature in age, childish in mind and a number-one liar”. He also accused the RJD leader of being “anti-Muslim” and alleged that he had betrayed former party colleague Ijhar Asfi — a move he said voters would answer on 11 November.
Party candidate Sarwar Alam and several AIMIM workers were present on stage during the rally.
Later in Bahadurganj, Owaisi reiterated the same charge, claiming he had been branded a “radical” for speaking about Seemanchal’s issues. He urged voters to support the AIMIM candidate, saying that Tejashwi Yadav “has never stood with Muslims” and had taken the community’s votes for granted.
