Vaishali: Bhojpuri actress Pakkhi Hegde joined the campaign trail in Mahua, Vaishali district, on Thursday, lending her star power to Janshakti Janata Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav.
Hegde addressed a public meeting at Mirzapur Yadav Tola in Rasulpur Mubarak Panchayat, where she appealed to voters to “bless Tej Pratap Yadav once again,” praising his role in putting Mahua “on the national map.”
Following her speech, the actress led a roadshow through Mahua, drawing large crowds of supporters. She highlighted Yadav’s efforts to develop a medical college in the constituency and promised that, if re-elected, he would push for Mahua’s recognition as a district and the establishment of an engineering college.
Later in the day, Tej Pratap Yadav and Pakhi Hegde visited several panchayats, including Dagru, Kushahar and Samaspur, meeting with residents and local party workers.
District President Suresh Yadav, former Deputy Chief Satyendra Yadav, State General Secretary Anil Chaudhary, and several senior JJD leaders, including Anand Prakash Singh, were also present at the campaign events.
