Patna: A Patna court on Friday granted bail to Pappu Yadav, whose real name is Rajesh Ranjan, in all three cases filed against him. The decision came after a hearing in the MP-MLA Special Court, where both the defence and prosecution presented their arguments. With this order, the leader is set to walk out of jail once all legal procedures are completed.
During the hearing, his lawyers said that the charges were not serious and that he was fully cooperating with the investigation. They also told the court that he would follow all conditions and would not try to influence the case. The prosecution opposed the bail and asked the court to be strict, saying that custody was necessary for a fair trial. After listening to both sides, the judge allowed the bail plea but imposed certain conditions.
The three cases are connected to different incidents registered at Kotwali police station. Earlier, Pappu Yadav had been sent to judicial custody, which meant he had to stay in jail until the court decided on his bail request. Following the court’s order, the process for his release has begun, and officials said he will be freed as soon as the paperwork and bond formalities are completed.
As the news spread, his supporters gathered and expressed happiness, calling the decision a moment of relief and hope. Many party workers shared messages on social media and said they believed in his innocence. Political observers feel that after his release, Pappu Yadav will become more active in public life, and his next moves will be closely watched in Bihar’s political circles.
