Purnia: Independent MP Pappu Yadav’s legal troubles continue to mount, as his bail plea was not heard on Thursday and he is set to appear again in the civil court on Friday. Yadav faces proceedings in three separate cases, including two older cases registered at Kotwali police station—case numbers 111/2003 and 279/2017—and one concerning obstruction of government work at Buddha Colony police station.
While Yadav has already secured bail in a case related to Gardanibagh police station, his custody will continue until hearings in the remaining cases are concluded. The upcoming hearing on Friday is expected to be crucial in determining his immediate legal status.
Court proceedings were delayed after authorities recovered the half-burnt body of a lawyer from his Patna residence, following a previous bomb threat at the civil court. Yadav’s lawyer has alleged that the MP is being deliberately targeted and entangled in a larger legal conspiracy.
