The achievement reflects sustained improvements in passenger satisfaction and the airport’s efforts to enhance service quality across multiple operational areas.
Significant Improvement In Passenger Satisfaction
The Airport Service Quality programme, administered by the Airports Council International (ACI), is regarded as the world’s leading benchmark for measuring airport service standards. Rankings are based on direct passenger feedback covering various aspects of the travel experience.
Patna Airport recorded an ASQ score of 4.88 in Quarter I (Q1) of 2026, when it ranked 78th globally.
The latest survey shows the airport has climbed to 69th place worldwide, indicating measurable gains in passenger satisfaction over the past three months.
Focus On Passenger Experience
Airport Director Chandra Pratap Dwivedi attributed the improved ranking to continued efforts to enhance passenger comfort and operational efficiency.
Areas of focus have included cleanliness, accessibility, customer service, terminal facilities and the overall airport experience.
The airport has also worked to streamline operations while maintaining service standards amid growing passenger traffic.
Team Effort Across Airport Operations
Airport Director Chandra Pratap Dwivedi said the achievement was made possible through the coordinated efforts of multiple stakeholders working within the airport ecosystem.
These include the Airports Authority of India, airline operators, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), ground handling agencies, concessionaires, housekeeping teams and other service partners.
Officials said collaboration among these agencies has been central to improving the quality and consistency of services offered to travellers.
