Patna: A revised summer timetable at Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport in Patna will come into effect from March 29, with 48 pairs of flights scheduled to operate, as authorities respond to a seasonal surge in passenger demand.
Airport officials said the updated schedule increases connectivity to major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai, with additional frequencies aimed at reducing waiting lists and easing congestion on high-traffic routes. Extra services on the Delhi and Mumbai sectors are expected to provide particular relief to travellers.
The schedule also introduces or expands connections between Patna and cities such as Navi Mumbai and Pune, alongside an additional service on the Kolkata route.
Timings for arrivals and departures have been adjusted as part of the seasonal transition, with the airport seeking to streamline operations during the busier months. Authorities said measures have been put in place to manage higher footfall, including enhanced security arrangements and improvements to passenger facilities.
Upgrades within the terminal are also under way, with a focus on easing movement through check-in, security screening and parking areas.
Passengers have been advised to arrive well in advance of departure and to follow airline guidelines to ensure a smooth journey.
