Patna: Four people, among them two children, were injured on Monday after a car ploughed into parked motorbikes on Atal Path in Patna’s Patliputra area.
Police said the injured were taken to hospital, where they are receiving treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, several people had parked their bikes and were waiting under a roadside shed to collect children when the car struck. “The vehicle kept moving forward, hitting everyone, until it was stopped when a bike became stuck in front of it,” said one witness.
Officers detained the elderly driver at the scene. Saurabh, a local resident who arrived shortly after the crash, said two of his staff, Luv and Vikas, were among the injured. “They were on their way to a site near Visvesvaraya Bhavan. My father rushed them to hospital, where they are now being treated,” he said. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
