Patna: A head-on collision between two trucks on Friday along the Bihta–Daniyawan–Sarmera State Highway-78 near Fatuha in Patna district led to one vehicle overturning into a roadside field and spilling its cargo, officials and eyewitness accounts said.
Both trucks sustained damage in the incident, though drivers of both vehicles escaped without reported injuries, according to initial police inputs.
Collision on SH-78 Route
The accident took place on a busy stretch of SH-78 when the two trucks reportedly came into contact head-on. The impact caused one of the vehicles to lose control and overturn off the road.
Local sources said the overturned truck was carrying crates of a soft drink, leading to the dispersal of bottles across the area.
Cargo Scattered After Overturn
Following the crash, the truck’s load was scattered near the roadside field, attracting attention from nearby residents who gathered at the site.
Eyewitnesses said the scene became crowded shortly after the accident, with the situation becoming difficult to manage before authorities reached the location.
Bottles Reportedly Taken From Site
Locals present at the scene reportedly picked up bottles from the overturned truck’s cargo. Residents said the goods were removed within a short span of time before proper securing measures could be taken.
The total value of the cargo has not been officially confirmed, though it is believed to be worth several lakh rupees.

Some residents alleged that police and administrative teams took time to arrive at the accident site, during which the scattered goods could not be safeguarded.
