Patna: Commercial establishments in Patna will benefit from lower LPG costs after Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) reduced the price of the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs 209 with effect from August 1. However, there has been no revision in the prices of domestic LPG cylinders.
Under the revised price list, the 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost Rs 3,032.50 in Patna. The reduction is expected to ease operating expenses for hotels, restaurants, dhabas, catering services and other businesses that rely on commercial LPG for daily operations.
Commercial Users to Benefit
Businesses that consume multiple commercial cylinders each month are expected to see a direct reduction in fuel costs following the latest revision.
Oil marketing companies review LPG prices on the first day of every month, with changes based on prevailing market conditions.
No Change in Domestic LPG Prices
According to the latest price list issued by Jyoti Kalash Gas Agency, there has been no change in domestic LPG cylinder prices.
The 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder will continue to be available at Rs 1,040. Similarly, the 5 kg domestic cylinder remains priced at Rs 386, while the 10 kg composite cylinder continues to cost Rs 750.
The unchanged rates mean household consumers will not receive any immediate relief in cooking fuel expenses this month.
Revised Commercial LPG Rates
The updated price list also includes revised rates for other commercial LPG categories:
- 5 kg FTL cylinder (refill): Rs 840.50
- 2 kg FTL POS cylinder (refill): Rs 351
- 47.5 kg commercial cylinder: Rs 7,574.50
- 19 kg Extra-Tej cylinder: Rs 3,055
Monthly Price Revision
The revised LPG prices came into effect on August 1. Oil marketing companies review commercial and domestic LPG cylinder prices every month and announce revisions based on market factors.
While this month’s revision has provided relief to commercial consumers through a substantial reduction in commercial LPG prices, domestic LPG consumers will have to wait until the next monthly review for any possible change.
