Patna: Power supply will remain suspended for around three hours in several parts of Patna on Wednesday due to scheduled road construction and power line shifting work, according to the Power Supply Undertaking (PESU). Consumers have been advised to complete essential work in advance and cooperate during the shutdown.
The outages will affect areas served by the Digha GIS and Anand Bazar power substations between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Digha GIS Feeder to Remain Shut
The first scheduled shutdown will affect the 11kV outgoing feeder from the Digha GIS substation between 10:30 am and 1:00 pm.
According to PESU, the shutdown has been planned to facilitate road construction work being carried out by the Road Construction Department (RCD).
Areas expected to be affected include Lotus Mansion, Vihara Homes, Madhurani Complex, Dwarikadhish Enclave, Awadh Bihari Villa, Rudra Residency, Sipahi Bhagat Galaxy, and nearby localities.
Anand Bazar Substation Also to Witness Shutdown
A separate shutdown has been scheduled for the 11kV PHED feeder under the Anand Bazar power substation from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The interruption will allow the Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUDCO) to carry out power line shifting work.
During this period, electricity supply will remain suspended in areas around Kharanja Road, Saguna Mor, Kushwaha Panchayat, and Jhatpatia Hanuman Mandir.
Supply to Resume After Work Completion
PESU said electricity supply will be restored immediately after the scheduled work is completed. The utility has appealed to residents in the affected areas to remain patient and extend their cooperation while the maintenance work is carried out.
