Patna: Three Class 11 students drowned in the Ganga near Adilpur village under Khusrupur police station on Sunday morning, police said. The students had reportedly gone to the river with three other friends when one entered deeper water and two others attempted to rescue him.

Six Friends Had Gone to Bathe
According to family members, the six friends had gone to the Ganga to bathe. During the outing, Sundaram reportedly moved into deeper water and began struggling.
Two of his friends entered the water in an attempt to help him but also went missing, according to the families. The remaining friends raised the alarm and informed their families.

SDRF Team Called for Search Operation
Khusrupur police station SHO Sanjeev Kumar said an SDRF team had been called to assist in the search.
Police and local divers are searching the river for the three students. The strong current in the Ganga is reportedly making the rescue operation difficult.
