Patna: Patna’s long-awaited metro project is moving a step closer to operation, with Urban Development and Housing Minister Jibesh Kumar reviewing key facilities at the Metro Depot and Zero Mile Metro Station on Wednesday.
The minister inspected modern rolling stock at the Metro Depot, where he was briefed on operational and maintenance arrangements. At the Zero Mile station, he assessed passenger-centric designs that include security systems, improved facilities and modern infrastructure aimed at providing a safe and comfortable travel experience.
Abhay Kumar Singh, Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department and Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation, provided updates on the project’s progress and outlined preparations for upcoming operational phases.
