Patna: A scheduled shutdown will be carried out on the 132 kV Gaighat–Jakkanpur New Patna Metro transmission line on May 31, from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM, according to an officials.
The shutdown has been planned to facilitate the establishment of a secondary source of permanent power supply for the Patna Metro project.
During the four-hour period, power supply from the Gaighat and Katra grid substations will remain restricted to a maximum load of 160 MW.
Alternative Arrangements in Place
The department stated that uninterrupted electricity supply would be maintained through other substations during the scheduled shutdown period.
Officials said no disruption in power supply is anticipated for consumers despite the temporary operational limitation on the transmission line.
Department Appeals for Cooperation
The department has already issued prior notification regarding the scheduled shutdown and appealed to consumers for their cooperation during the maintenance and infrastructure work.
The planned work is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen power infrastructure linked to the Patna Metro project.
