Patna: An incident involving Independent MLA Chetan Anand has sparked controversy after he was allegedly assaulted and confined in a room for nearly 30 minutes during a late-night visit to AIIMS Patna on Wednesday.
According to sources, Anand arrived at the hospital around midnight, accompanied by his supporters, to visit a patient. A heated argument reportedly broke out between the MLA’s group and security personnel as well as junior doctors on duty. The situation escalated into a physical altercation, during which Anand was said to have been held in a room against his will.
The MLA has filed a written complaint at Phulwarisharif police station. Police have confirmed that an investigation is underway. Officials from AIIMS and law enforcement are currently recording statements from both parties involved.
