Mokama: Truck driver was killed in a road accident on the Mokama bypass in Patna district on Wednesday, when his stationary vehicle was struck by another truck travelling at high speed.
The crash took place on the Shivnar four-lane section early in the morning. A truck coming from Barh towards Mokama was parked on the roadside when it was hit from behind. The impact was so forceful that the parked truck overturned into the opposite lane.
The driver, identified as Munna Kumar from Jehanabad, died on the spot. Police rushed him to Mokama Referral Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. His body was later sent to Barh sub-divisional hospital for a post-mortem examination.
