Patna: The Patna Municipal Corporation has directed officials to clear all pending mutation, or property name transfer, applications within a week following a review of their status across the city. The move is aimed at speeding up service delivery and reducing delays faced by residents.
According to officials, a total of 8,422 mutation applications have been received across the corporation’s six administrative circles. Of these, 6,701 cases have already been processed, indicating that nearly 85% of the applications have been resolved so far.
The highest number of processed applications came from the Patliputra circle, with 1,976 cases cleared, followed by the New Capital circle with 1,213 and Azimabad with 1,204. Bankipore accounted for 964 processed applications, Kankarbagh for 872, and Patna City for 472.
Officials said that around 15% of applications remain pending. Taking note of this, the municipal commissioner instructed concerned departments to ensure that all remaining cases are completed within a week. The commissioner also stressed that, going forward, mutation applications must be disposed of strictly within the prescribed time limits to prevent unnecessary inconvenience to citizens.
