Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Thursday organised a voter awareness campaign in the Lohanipur and China Kothi settlements ahead of the Bankipur Assembly by-election. The initiative was conducted under the Election Commission of India’s Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme to encourage higher voter turnout and informed participation.

The campaign featured a “SVEEP to Booth” programme, bringing together municipal officials, sanitation workers and local residents. Participants carried out a cleanliness drive along the route leading to the polling station while engaging with residents about the importance of casting their vote in the upcoming by-election.
