Patna: The Patna district administration and traffic police have announced a special traffic management plan ahead of the NEET UG re-examination scheduled for June 21.
The arrangements have been put in place to manage the expected influx of examinees at Bapu Pariksha Parisar in Kumhrar and surrounding areas. Several vehicle routes have been altered to reduce congestion and facilitate smoother movement on major roads.
Diversions for Vehicles from Dhanuki Mor
According to the traffic plan, all auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws travelling from Dhanuki Mor towards Patna city will no longer be permitted to use the usual route.
Instead, these vehicles will be diverted through Zero Mile, the New Bypass and Bhutnath Road before reaching the Old Bypass. Officials said the measure is intended to ease traffic pressure on key city corridors during examination hours.
Large vehicles, including buses, pickup vans and other heavy vehicles coming from Dhanuki Mor towards the city, will be routed via the New Bypass-Mithapur corridor.
Restrictions on Heavy Vehicles
The administration has also imposed restrictions on the movement of goods-carrying vehicles approaching from the Karbigahiya area. These vehicles will be directed to use the Mithapur New Bypass route.
In addition, heavy vehicles travelling from the GPO area towards Chiraiyatand Bridge will not be allowed to proceed on that stretch. They will instead be diverted through the Mithapur New Bypass.
Alternative Route for Vehicles from Moin-ul-Haq Stadium
Buses and goods vehicles arriving from the Moin-ul-Haq Stadium side will not be permitted to move towards the Bahadurpur Rail Over Bridge (ROB).
As an alternative, these vehicles will be able to reach their destinations through Vaishali Golambar, Rajendra Nagar Bridge and the 90-Feet Road route.
Advisory for Examinees
Traffic police have advised NEET candidates to leave for their examination centres well in advance to avoid delays caused by diversions and increased traffic movement.
Authorities have also appealed to the general public to cooperate with traffic personnel and follow the revised traffic arrangements to ensure smooth conduct of the examination.
