Patna: A member of India’s paramilitary forces was killed and another injured after being run over by a tractor operated by a sand mafia in Patna on Tuesday morning.
The attack took place in the Dulhin Bazar police station area, where a mining enforcement team had been attempting to halt vehicles transporting illegal sand. CRPF soldier Dukhharan Paswan was killed in the incident, while his colleague, Laxman Singh, sustained injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Local authorities said the incident has sparked outrage across the area, highlighting ongoing tensions between illegal sand miners and law enforcement agencies in Bihar. Investigations are underway to apprehend those responsible.
