Patna: Authorities in Patna have uncovered a sex racket operating from a spa located near Dakbungla Chauraha, under the jurisdiction of Kotwali police station. Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a surprise raid on Thursday evening, rescuing a minor girl and a young woman, and arresting the spa owner.
According to officials, the raid followed credible information that the establishment was being used for prostitution. During the operation, police recovered objectionable items from the premises. Preliminary investigation suggests that the two females had been lured into the sex trade under the pretext of job offers.
“The spa has been sealed, and a case has been registered,” said DSP Law and Order-1 Krishna Murari Prasad. “Further investigation is underway.”
This raid is part of a broader crackdown on illegal sex rackets in the city. Just last week, police carried out a similar operation at a hotel in Chiraiyatand, under Kankarbagh police station. Two managers were arrested and six girls, including two minors, were rescued. Authorities believe the hotel had been involved in prostitution for at least two months.
