Patna Polling Day Traffic: Diversion on Boring Road Tomorrow Evening; Several Routes Closed, Entry Restrictions Imposed

With EVMs arriving from multiple constituencies after polling tomorrow evening, diversions have been issued across Boring Road and adjoining areas to ensure smooth movement and security.

Patna: A strong room has been established at A.N. College, Patna, where Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and VVPATs from various assembly constituencies will be brought after polling concludes on Thursday evening.

To facilitate the secure movement of these vehicles, traffic diversions and restrictions have been announced across key areas, including Boring Road, Bailey Road, and Atal Path, from 5:30 p.m. until the completion of EVM transport and normalization of traffic.

Emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire tenders will remain exempt during this period.

🚫 Traffic Restrictions for General Vehicles

  1. Boring Road (Mohini Mor – Sahdev Mahato Marg – AN College – Pani Tanki Mor):
    No general vehicles allowed.
  2. Boring Road intersection – Tapasya Mor/AN College/Pani Tanki Mor:
    Route closed to all general traffic.
  3. Alternative Route:
    Vehicles from Bailey Road–Boring Road Crossing should proceed via Boring Canal Road to Rajapur Bridge.
  4. Vehicles from Kurji Mor:
    Can travel up to Patliputra Golambar and divert via Sai Mandir Mor (Atal Path) under Rajiv Nagar ROB.
    Vehicles heading to Patna Junction must use the route: Kurji Mor → Rajapur Bridge → Boring Canal Road → Boring Road intersection → Bailey-Boring Road Crossing (Bailey Road).

From Mokama (178) / Barh (179) / Bakhtiyarpur (180) / Fatuha (185):

  • Route 1: Pahadi Mor → Agamkuan ROB (Upper) → Old Bypass → Chiraiyatad Bridge → Goriya Toli (Down) → Bhattacharya Square → Dak Bungalow → Bailey-Boring Road Crossing → Boring Road Square → Tapasya Chowk → AN College Main Gate.
  • Route 2: New Bypass → Mithapur → Karbighiya → GPO (Upper) → R Block → Veerchand Patel Path → Income Tax Roundabout → Bailey-Boring Road Crossing → Tapasya Chowk → AN College Main Gate.
  • Route 3: Pahari Mor → Agamkuan ROB → NMCH → Gaighat Bridge → JP Ganga Path → Digha Roundabout → Atal Path → Hadtali ROB North → Atal Path East Service Lane → Mohini Mor → Tapasya Mor → AN College.

From Masaurhi (189):

  • Route 1: Masaurhi → Dhanrua → Gaurichak → Gopalpur → New Bypass (Zeromile) → Mithapur → GPO → R Block → Veerchand Patel Path → Income Tax Roundabout → Bailey-Boring Road Crossing → AN College.

From Phulwari (188):

  • Route 1: Khagaul → Rupaspur Canal Road → Rupaspur Bridge → Raja Bazar Flyover → Nehru Path → Hartali Chowk → Lohia Chakra Path → Boring Canal Road → Tapasya Mor → AN College.
  • Route 2: Anisabad → Chitkohra Bridge → Gardanibagh → Harding Road → R Block → Lohia Chakra Path → Boring Canal Road → Tapasya Chowk → AN College.

🚐 Post-Unloading and Parking

After unloading EVMs/VVPATs at AN College, vehicles will exit via Pani Tanki Mor through Atal Path or Patliputra Golambar.
Parking for official vehicles will be available along the Atal Path service lane from Pani Tanki Mor and the vacant ground opposite Patliputra Sahayog Hospital.
