Patna: Traffic movement on several routes in central Patna will be altered on August 24 in view of an event at the Khuda Bakhsh Oriental Public Library, according to the traffic police.
The special arrangements will remain in effect until the event concludes. Authorities have asked commuters to follow designated routes to maintain smooth traffic flow and avoid congestion.
Kargil Chowk-Gaighat Route
Vehicles travelling from Kargil Chowk towards Gaighat will be required to use the double-decker bridge.
Commercial vehicles, e-rickshaws and tempos will not be allowed to enter Ashok Rajpath from Khetan Market, GM Road (South), Machhua Toli (South) and Khazanchi Road (South).
Restrictions Near Krishna Ghat
Vehicles approaching Kargil Chowk from Krishna Ghat will have to use the double-decker bridge near the Patna College gate.
The movement of all types of vehicles from beneath the Ashok Rajpath bridge towards Kargil Chowk will also be prohibited during the traffic arrangements.
Diversion For Vehicles From Gaighat
Vehicles coming from Gaighat will be diverted through Khazanchi Road (North).
They will then proceed towards Gandhi Maidan via Khazanchi Road (South), Machhua Toli and Thakurbari.
Traffic Police Appeal
The traffic police have urged motorists and commuters to follow the prescribed diversion routes and cooperate with the police administration.
Authorities said adherence to the traffic plan will help minimise congestion and inconvenience during the event.
