Patna: Patna University has started admissions for its four-year Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP) for the 2026-30 academic session.
Under the programme, students will pursue academic coursework alongside industry-oriented training and internship opportunities.
Two Undergraduate Courses on Offer
Admissions are being conducted for two courses under the AEDP framework: BSc Digital Electronics and BSc Health Care Management.
The BSc Digital Electronics programme will be offered at BN College, while the BSc Health Care Management course will be conducted at Magadh Mahila College.
Applications Open Until 18 June
Eligible candidates can submit applications online through the university’s official website until June 18..
The admission process has been made fully online for applicants.
Eligibility and Application Fee
Candidates must have passed I.Sc. or an equivalent examination in the science stream with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
The application fee has been fixed at Rs. 1,100.
Selection Based on Linked Examination Scores
Admissions will be granted on the basis of marks obtained in the prescribed linked examination, according to university guidelines.
Candidates will be selected and allotted seats based on their performance in the qualifying process.
Internship and Stipend Benefits
BN College Principal Dr Rajkishore said students enrolled in the programme will be sent for a one-year internship under the Government of India’s BOPT (Board of Practical Training) programme.
During the internship period, students will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 12,000, subject to programme norms.
Focus on Skill Development
University officials said the apprenticeship-embedded model aims to combine academic learning with practical industry exposure.
The programme is intended to enhance employability by providing students with hands-on experience, professional training and skill development opportunities alongside their degree studies.
