Patna: The water supply across all wards in Patna Municipal Corporation has been confirmed to meet prescribed quality standards, officials said on Friday.
Under the direction of the Municipal Commissioner, engineers and water department officials from all zones conducted inspections and collected samples from multiple locations across the city. The tests, carried out as part of ongoing monitoring efforts, indicated that the drinking water is safe and compliant with regulatory norms.
Patna Municipal Corporation routinely surveys pipelines to identify aged or damaged sections and carries out repair work, particularly on pipelines running near drains, to maintain water quality. Officials emphasised that ensuring clean and safe drinking water remains a top priority for the administration.
Local residents who interacted with corporation officials reported no major issues with water supply, according to the municipal authorities. Citizens are encouraged to report any problems through the corporation’s helpline at 155304 for prompt resolution.
The corporation reiterated its commitment to public health and assured that regular monitoring and maintenance would continue across the city.
