Patna: The Department of Business Administration of Patna Women’s College (Autonomous), under Patna University, organised a Student Exchange Program on Careers in Management in collaboration with the Development Management Institute (DMI), Patna. The event was held at the Mother Veronica Excellence and Innovation Centre and was attended by students and faculty members. The main aim of the programme was to help students understand different career options in management and to connect their classroom learning with real-life experiences.
The programme was led by well-known resource persons from DMI, including Dr Sridhar Telidevara, Professor; Mr Samar Rayaz, Manager – Academic Programs; and Prof Santosh Anand. They spoke about how management is not limited to business companies but is also important in areas such as education, healthcare, public policy, social development and government projects. They explained how management skills are needed everywhere to plan, organise and improve systems.
The speakers also shared practical examples and simple management tools that are used in real workplaces. They encouraged students to think about their future and explore different career paths. The session was interactive, and students actively asked questions and shared their ideas. This made the programme lively and informative.
The event was organised under the guidance of Dr Pallawi Ambreesh Kumar, Head of the Department of Business Administration. She welcomed the guests and honoured them with plant saplings as a symbol of growth and sustainability. Students from Semester IV and Semester VI, along with faculty members, participated enthusiastically. The programme created a positive learning environment and motivated students to aim for meaningful and successful careers in management.
