Patna: Patna Women’s College (Autonomous) organised a Patriotic Song Competition on August 11, 2026, at the Open Air Stage Hall, bringing together students from different departments and hostel groups for a musical celebration of patriotism.
A total of 12 groups participated in the competition, presenting renditions of patriotic songs. The performances created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and national pride at the college.
Judges Evaluate Musical Performances
The performances were evaluated by a panel comprising Alok John, Dean, National and International Collaborations and Consultancy Services; Dr Medha, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology; and Rajeev Ranjan, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology.
John also addressed the participants and appreciated their performances, while offering feedback on areas that could be improved.

Mixed Hostel Team Secures First Position
The final results were announced by Dr Sister M. Tanisha A.C., Principal, Patna Women’s College.
The Mixed Hostel team, represented by Code 7, secured the first position for its performance. Code 6, representing the Department of History, won the second position, while Code 12, representing the B.Com Accounting & Finance Department, secured third position.

Student Council Members Moderate Event
The competition was moderated by Richa Kumari, Sports Secretary, Student Council 2026–27, and Yashika Raj, Joint Cultural Secretary, Student Council 2026–27.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Anjali Gupta, Joint General Secretary, Student Council 2026–27.
Competition Organised Under Cultural Coordinators
The event was organised under the guidance of Dr Sister Celine Crasta A.C., Vice Principal and Head, Department of History; Enakshi Dey Biswas, Coordinator, Performing Arts; and Puja Kumari, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce.
The competition concluded with performances celebrating patriotism through music, student talent and collective participation.
