Patna: Patna Women’s College has completed a five-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Innovation and Entrepreneurship from 21 to 25 July. This programme was sponsored by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell and AICTE. It aimed to train teachers from BBA, BCA, MCA, and management institutions to build innovation and incubation centres in their colleges.
This was a proud moment for Bihar as Patna Women’s College was the only college from the state and one of just ten in India to host this important programme. The training included ten interactive sessions on topics like entrepreneurial mindset, design thinking, business models, intellectual property, startup finance, and how to set up incubation centres.
Many experts shared their knowledge during these sessions, including entrepreneurs, startup mentors, professors, and industry leaders. They conducted group discussions, practical activities, and planning exercises to help teachers understand how to promote innovation among students.
The programme ended on 25 July with a special session attended by Prof Girish Kumar Choudhary, Chairman of Bihar State University Service Commission, as Chief Guest. Speakers encouraged teachers to bring innovative thinking into their teaching. The organisers thanked all guests, speakers, and participants for making the event successful. This training has given teachers the tools to inspire students to become entrepreneurs and build a stronger future for Bihar.
