Patna/Lucknow: Bhojpuri actor and singer Pawan Singh reportedly lost his temper at a birthday party on Tuesday, moving aggressively towards a young man on stage before being restrained by security. Videos from the event show fans shouting warnings as bouncers intervened to prevent a potential assault.
The incident took place at the birthday celebration of fellow Bhojpuri singer Gunjan Singh on January 20. Singh was performing on stage when, according to witnesses, a comment from an attendee provoked his anger. In footage circulating online, Singh is seen telling the crowd, “I’m in the mood to hear something good today,” before advancing towards the man. Several onlookers intervened, with one shouting, “Stop him, or he’ll hit him.”
Security personnel and party organisers quickly moved to defuse the situation. Bouncers escorted the young man out of the venue, during which he was reportedly manhandled. Gunjan Singh was also seen helping to calm Singh, and a woman described in reports as a ‘mystery girl’ – recently linked to rumours about Singh’s personal life – was present throughout.
The party was attended by several notable figures from the Bhojpuri film and music industry, including actress Mahima Singh. She has previously collaborated with Pawan Singh on the song Bani Laika, released on January 5, which has been trending online.
The incident comes amid renewed speculation about Singh’s personal life. On his birthday earlier this month, his wife Jyoti Singh shared a video with him, which led to rumours regarding a potential third marriage after a Bhojpuri actress, Mahima Singh, was seen standing close to him. Mahima Singh hails from Banda, Uttar Pradesh, and is reportedly involved in ongoing film projects with the actor.
