Modi Recalls Beginning of 25-Year Journey
Prime Minister Modi recalled that on October 7, 2001, he took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
He said that at the time, he had not imagined that his journey in public life would continue for 25 years.
Reflecting on the period since then, Modi attributed the long journey to the continued trust and blessings of the people.
‘People Are Like God to Me’
During his address, Modi spoke about his relationship with the people and described the public as his greatest source of strength.
He said “Janata-Janardan” is like God to him, emphasising the role of people’s trust in his journey.
The Prime Minister also credited the hard work of BJP workers and the support of the people for the responsibilities he has received over the years.
He said that the country had given him a great deal and that this also carried a corresponding responsibility to serve the nation.
25 Years of Experience as a National Asset
Modi described the experience accumulated over 25 years in public life as an important asset.
He said the experience was not merely his personal wealth but something that could contribute to the country’s journey.
Referring to his student years, the Prime Minister said the desire to learn continues to remain an important part of his life. He described himself as a student even today and said he continues to learn something new every day.
Victories Taught Humility, Setbacks Taught Resilience
The Prime Minister also reflected on the successes and setbacks he experienced during his political journey.
He said those who helped him win taught him humility, while those who caused setbacks taught him how to stand up again.
Modi also said that well-wishers encouraged him, while critics provided opportunities for introspection.
He described challenges as tests of patience and said success brings a greater responsibility to take on bigger goals.
Gratitude to Democracy and the Constitution
Modi also expressed gratitude towards the country’s democratic system and the Constitution.
He said the responsibilities entrusted to him by the people were among the biggest responsibilities of his public life.
The Prime Minister also acknowledged the contribution of BJP and NDA members and political colleagues who believe in democracy.
‘Sabka Prayas’ for Viksit Bharat
Looking ahead, Modi said the occasion was not merely about remembering the past but about drawing strength from past experiences and moving forward with new resolutions.
He reiterated the message of ‘Sabka Prayas’ and called for collective efforts to take the country towards new heights.
At Miller High School Ground in Patna, BJP leaders and workers listened to the message on the large screen and linked the Prime Minister’s call for collective effort with the role of party organisation and public participation in Bihar.
The event concluded with an emphasis on the continued goal of building a Viksit Bharat through collective participation and sustained public service.
