Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch his “Mission Bihar” campaign on October 24, marking his first visit to the state since the announcement of the Bihar Assembly elections. The campaign will begin in Samastipur, the birthplace of socialist leader Karpoori Thakur, where the Prime Minister is expected to address a large public gathering before moving on to Begusarai later the same day.
According to Bihar BJP President Dilip Jaiswal, PM Modi will return to the state on October 30 for rallies in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra. The Prime Minister is also expected to address additional public meetings on November 2, 3, 6 and 7, with detailed schedules to be released soon.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, often referred to as the BJP’s chief strategist, recently asserted that the NDA would break the 20-year record and form the next government in Bihar. Party leaders have described PM Modi’s upcoming rallies as crucial to consolidating voter support across the state.
Preparations for the Prime Minister’s visits are in full swing, with BJP and NDA workers coordinating at the local level. “Under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Modi, the NDA will secure a decisive victory in Bihar,” said Jaiswal.
Since taking office in 2014, PM Modi has visited Bihar at least 55 times, underscoring the state’s importance in national politics. In 2025 alone, he has made nearly a dozen trips, inaugurating major infrastructure projects including the new terminal building at Patna Airport and a new airport in Purnia. He has also engaged with young voters through a series of dialogues and addressed gatherings announcing development projects worth several lakh crores for the state.
