Patna Municipal Corporation teams are spraying anti-larvae on rooftops and streets to stop mosquitoes from breeding before heavy rains

Patna: Patna Municipal Corporation has started spraying anti-larvae in all parts of the city to prevent dengue and malaria. Teams are visiting houses, streets, and rooftops to spray the solution so that mosquitoes do not get a chance to breed before the rains.

Every day, around 18,000 houses are covered by these teams. So far, anti-larvae has been sprayed in about 1,87,500 houses. The Municipal Commissioner has told workers to focus on rooftops, pots, tyres, and any empty spaces where water can collect and mosquitoes can breed.

Special teams are also spraying anti-larvae in hospital areas daily. To ensure the work is being done properly, officials are making random calls to residents and also visiting houses for verification. They want to make sure the teams are reaching everyone.

People have been asked not to let water collect in pots, coolers, or AC trays. They should keep these clean so that mosquitoes do not breed. For any complaints or suggestions about the spraying, citizens can call the helpline number 155305.
