Patna: The Jan Suraj Party has made significant organisational changes in Bihar by forming new state-level committees for its different wings. The party has created dedicated teams for the Youth, Women, Ambedkar, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Minority wings. Each of these committees will have 11 members. The decision is aimed at improving the party’s reach and coordination across different sections of society.
The announcement was made by the party’s State President Manoj Bharti in Patna on Saturday. He said the new structure will help the party become more active at the ground level. Jan Suraj, founded by Prashant Kishor, has been steadily building its organisational base in Bihar and is focusing on expanding its presence among young people, women, and marginalised communities.
In the new appointments, Subhash Chandra Bose (also known as Subhash Paswan) has been made the State President of the Youth Wing. Sugandh Thakur will serve as its General Secretary. For the Women’s Wing, Pratibha Sinha has been appointed as State President, while Geeta Sahni will take charge as General Secretary. Party leaders say these appointments are meant to bring more women into active political roles within the organisation.
The Ambedkar Forum, which focuses on social justice issues, will be led by Professor Shashikant Prasad Paswan as State President, with Dr. Prashant Kumar Bhaskar as General Secretary. For the OBC Wing, Lalan Ji has been named State President and Nag Narayan Prasad will serve as General Secretary. In the Minority Wing, Abu Affan Farooqui has been appointed State President, while Shoaib Ahmed Khan will be the General Secretary. Party insiders believe these new committees are designed to strengthen internal organisation ahead of future political challenges in Bihar.
