Gayaji: Bihar’s Chief Secretary, Pratyay Amrit, visited the site of the Bihar Integrated Manufacturing Cluster Gayaji Limited (BIMCGL) in Gayaji on Friday to conduct a detailed on-ground review of the state’s flagship industrial township being developed under the Amritsar–Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC).
During the visit, Amrit inspected progress across each component of the project and held discussions with officials on bottlenecks slowing construction. He directed all departments involved to expedite pending work, improve inter-departmental coordination, and resolve outstanding issues swiftly to maintain project momentum.
Among the areas reviewed were upgrades planned for NH-22 to strengthen regional connectivity, the development of dedicated helipads for direct access to the township, power-supply expansion through the Chandauti Grid, and work on underground water pipelines and reservoir construction.
Kundan Kumar, secretary of the industries department and managing director of Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) and Infrastructure Development Authority (IDA), presented a digital walkthrough of the township’s masterplan, outlining the state’s long-term vision for a modern, sustainably designed industrial city. The plan showcased proposed industrial corridors, residential and commercial districts, green buffer zones, and major infrastructure networks.

As the inspection concluded, Amrit stressed the importance of coordinated, timely execution to transform BIMCGL into a future-ready industrial hub for Bihar.
Senior officials from the public works and energy departments, along with Gayaji district magistrate Shashank Shubhankar, were present during the site visit.
