Public Food Facility Launched at Patna Junction to Enhance Passenger Comfort
Patna: In a bid to enhance passenger convenience, Patna Junction has initiated the provision of public food services. The initiative, situated on platform number one of Patna Junction on the railway side, aims to cater to the culinary needs of travelers.
Prepared food packets are readily available for passengers upon request, ensuring seamless access to nourishment without compromising on their travel schedules.
Sabir Ahmed, the manager of Jan Aahar Kendra at Patna Junction, emphasized the promptness of the service, stating that food is swiftly arranged upon the arrival of trains. The facility is designed to ensure that every passenger receives fresh food and cold water promptly.
The public food packets consist of seven puris, potato bhujiya, and pickles, providing a wholesome meal option for passengers. The introduction of this service has garnered positive feedback from passengers of all ages, who have expressed their satisfaction with the quality and variety of the food offerings.
In addition to the public food service, the Railways has introduced combo meals, including options such as Rajma, Khichdi, and Chole-Bhatura, catering to diverse culinary preferences. Furthermore, passengers can avail themselves of 200ml water bottles provided by the Railways for a nominal fee of Rs 3.
Addressing concerns regarding the scorching heat, arrangements have been made at four locations on platform number one to ensure passenger comfort. Given the high footfall on platform number one, water facilities have been extended to all platforms to alleviate any inconvenience caused by the prevailing weather conditions.
