Purnia/Patna: A grand job fair was organised at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Purnia on Sunday, attracting a large number of young job seekers from Purnia and neighbouring districts, including Araria, Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul and Katihar.
The event was organised at the initiative of Purnia MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav. According to the organisers, the objective was to provide employment opportunities to around 20,000 youths through the recruitment drive.
Representatives from companies and institutions across several sectors participated in the selection process.
Document Verification and On-the-Spot Selection
Separate counters were arranged at the venue for candidates to verify their educational qualifications and submit the required documents.
After document verification and interviews, selected candidates were called to the stage, where they received offer letters and appointment letters.
The organisers said the initiative was aimed at providing young people with access to employers without requiring them to travel to other cities in search of jobs.
Work-from-Home Opportunities for Women
The job fair also featured work-from-home opportunities for women, providing an alternative employment option for female candidates who may prefer to work remotely.
Candidates from different educational backgrounds were eligible to participate, including those who had completed Class 8, Class 12/Intermediate, ITI, graduation, post-graduation, BCA and MBA.

Recruitment opportunities were available across a wide range of sectors, including:

Companies and their representatives were present at different counters to conduct interviews and select suitable candidates.
Pappu Yadav Announces Next Job Fair in Patna
Speaking at the event, Pappu Yadav said that after the initiative in Purnia, preparations were underway to provide employment opportunities to around 25,000 youths in Patna.
He said connecting young people with employment remains one of his priorities and that efforts are being made to bring companies and job seekers together on a common platform.
Stadium Turns Into a Recruitment Hub
The Indira Gandhi Stadium remained busy throughout the day as candidates began arriving from the morning.
Document verification, interviews and candidate selection were conducted at different counters and stages. The atmosphere became particularly enthusiastic as selected candidates received offer and appointment letters at the venue.
The organisers said the initiative was intended to create more direct employment opportunities for youths across the region.
