Patna: The Bihar Legislative Council was engulfed in pandemonium on the fifth and final day of the monsoon session today, as RJD leader and former Bihar CM Rabri Devi made explosive claims, alleging a threat to her son Tejashwi Prasad Yadav’s life and accusing the ruling BJP-JD (U) alliance of conspiracy.
As the session commenced, Rabri Devi, a prominent figure in the Mahagathbandhan, declared, “Tejashwi’s life is in danger. BJP and JD (U) are getting the attack done. There have been 4 attacks so far. These people are sewer insects.” Her strong accusations immediately escalated tensions within the Council, leading to a heated exchange.
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, present in the Council, responded to the opposition’s uproar by pointing towards them and remarking on their attire, stating, “earlier these people used to wear such clothes.” Directly addressing Rabri Devi, he added, “on her behest, all these people are coming wearing such clothes.”
As the opposition continued their vociferous protests, the Chief Minister himself joined in, repeatedly uttering “Hye, Hai,” in a clear display of exasperation and defiance against the ongoing disruption. The dramatic exchange underscored the deep-seated political animosity and heightened tensions marking the conclusion of the legislative session.
