Nawada: On the third day of Voter Adhikar Yatra, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made an unscheduled stop in Nawada district, stepping 500 metres off the main road to meet residents in Manaini village.
Gandhi, accompanied by Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav, visited a local Devi temple, where he spoke with villagers about their concerns and emphasised the importance of constitutional safeguards and voting rights. He spent over half an hour interacting with people, as workers reportedly climbed on a JCB machine to catch a glimpse of him.

Earlier, in Rasalpur, women had gathered with puja thalis, pots of water and coconuts to welcome Gandhi, but his convoy bypassed the area, heading directly towards Nawada.
In Nawada, Gandhi was scheduled to interact with locals at several key points, including Kharanth Mod, Warisliganj-Chandan Chowk, Thana Mod, Jayprakash Narayan Mod, Gumti Road and Patel Chowk. Later in the evening, his yatra was expected to move towards Barbigha via Sherpur Mod, Sarkatti Mod and Shahpur Mod.
