Patna: Indian Railways has extended the operation of several special trains serving Bihar in response to continued heavy passenger demand, ensuring additional connectivity between the state and major cities in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh through July.
The decision covers special train services to Patna, Danapur, Madhubani and Hasanpur Road, while an additional trip has also been announced for the Ahmedabad–Patna special train.
Udhna–Madhubani Special Extended
The operational period of Train No. 09151/09152 Udhna–Madhubani–Udhna Special has been extended.
Train No. 09151 Udhna–Madhubani Special will now run every Wednesday and Friday until 31 July 2026, while Train No. 09152 Madhubani–Udhna Special will operate every Friday and Sunday until 2 August 2026.
The train connects Gujarat with north Bihar via Kota, Agra Idgah, Prayagraj, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Patliputra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur, Samastipur and Darbhanga.
Udhna–Hasanpur Road Service To Continue
Railways has also extended Train No. 09031/09032 Udhna–Hasanpur Road–Udhna Special.
Under the revised schedule, Train No. 09031 will operate every Sunday until 26 July 2026, while Train No. 09032 will run every Tuesday until 28 July 2026.
The service connects Udhna with Hasanpur Road via Kota, Agra Idgah, Prayagraj, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Patliputra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur.
Patna And Danapur Specials Get Extension
The operational period of Train No. 09343/09344 Dr Ambedkar Nagar–Patna–Dr Ambedkar Nagar Special has also been extended.
Train No. 09343 will depart every Thursday until 30 July 2026, while the return service, Train No. 09344, will operate every Friday until 31 July 2026.
Meanwhile, Train No. 09025/09026 Valsad–Danapur–Valsad Special will continue running, with the Valsad–Danapur service operating every Monday until 27 July and the Danapur–Valsad service every Tuesday until 28 July.
Extra Ahmedabad–Patna Trip Added
In addition to extending existing services, Railways has announced one additional trip of Train No. 09447/09448 Ahmedabad–Patna–Ahmedabad Special.
Train No. 09447 will depart Ahmedabad on 1 July 2026, while the return service, Train No. 09448, will leave Patna on 3 July 2026.
Officials said the additional trip has been introduced to accommodate increased passenger demand during the period.
The extensions are expected to provide relief to travellers between Bihar and western and central India, where seasonal demand for rail travel continues to remain high.
