Patna: Indian Railways has taken a major step to make travel more comfortable and convenient for passengers. The new initiative, called Amrit Samvad, has been launched to collect feedback and suggestions directly from travellers. The idea is to listen to passengers’ voices and use their opinions to make railway services better. This special campaign has started from Patna Junction under the Danapur Railway Division and will soon be expanded to other major stations as well.

Through this campaign, railway officials will interact with passengers and people living near stations. They will ask for feedback about cleanliness, waiting rooms, ticket counters, and other facilities. The suggestions received from passengers will not stop at the local level — they will be sent to the Railway Board so that new and improved services can be developed according to what passengers actually need. This means that the Railways will now plan upgrades and changes based on real feedback from the people who use the trains every day.

At Patna Junction, railway officials have already started talking to passengers as part of the Amrit Samvad programme. They are gathering opinions about what needs to be improved at the station. Many passengers have asked for better cleanliness, more seating areas, and upgraded facilities like digital boards and clean restrooms. The Railways has promised to carefully study these suggestions and take steps to bring visible improvements soon.

The Railway Administration has also said that similar campaigns will be held at all major stations under the Danapur Division. The suggestions collected will first be discussed at the divisional and zonal levels, and then important points will be forwarded to the Railway Board. After reviewing the feedback, the Railways will try to implement the best ideas to make travel smoother and more comfortable for everyone. With Amrit Samvad, Indian Railways is aiming to build a stronger connection with passengers and create a travel experience that truly reflects their needs.

  • Nitish Kumar met Samrat Choudhary at the CM residence in Patna, marking their first in-person interaction after the leadership change. The brief 20-minute meeting focused on Bihar’s political climate and administrative matters, with senior leaders also present, signaling coordinated discussions within the government.

Photos from the meeting showed a cordial atmosphere, including a moment where Kumar placed his hand on Choudhary’s shoulder—described as a gesture of guidance. The interaction has drawn attention amid ongoing political developments in the state.

The liquor prohibition policy remained a key topic, with Choudhary reaffirming its strict enforcement and linking it to Kumar’s legacy, while also citing support from Narendra Modi. However, voices like Anant Singh continue to question its effectiveness, keeping the debate alive even as the government signals no immediate change.

  • The Bihar government is set to roll out an Intelligent Traffic Management System (ITMS), bringing AI-powered surveillance and automation to roads across the state. From highways to city intersections, smart cameras will detect violations like overspeeding, red-light jumping, and not wearing helmets or seatbelts—making enforcement faster and more efficient.

Beyond traffic control, the system will use facial recognition to identify repeat offenders and assist police in tracking suspects. With 500–700 locations planned and a central control hub supported by district-level monitoring centres, authorities aim to strengthen both road safety and law enforcement.

With an estimated cost of ₹300 crore, the project will also feature real-time incident alerts and adaptive traffic signals to reduce congestion. While it promises smarter roads and quicker response times, it also raises important questions about privacy and data security.

  • WhatsApp is working on a powerful new feature called “After Reading” that could completely change how we message. With this update, users will be able to make messages disappear automatically after they’ve been seen, giving more control over privacy and conversations.

Unlike current disappearing messages, this feature focuses on when the message is actually read. Users may get options like 5 minutes, 1 hour, or even 12 hours after viewing—making it easier to manage sensitive chats and keep things temporary.

Though still in development, this update signals a big step toward smarter and safer messaging. If rolled out successfully, it could redefine how we share information online.
