Patna: On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Samrat Chaudhary shared an emotional message remembering his late mother and expressing gratitude towards mothers everywhere. His heartfelt post, shared on social media on Sunday, quickly gained attention from people across Bihar, with many praising the chief minister for his simple and touching words about motherhood, sacrifice and family values. Along with the message, he also posted a video and a photograph in which he could be seen paying tribute to his mother, Parvati Devi.
In the post, Chaudhary described a mother as the “first guru, first friend and the most beautiful form of God”. He wrote that a mother’s affection, blessings and sacrifices are the greatest wealth a person can have in life. He also prayed for the good health, happiness and respect of all mothers, saying every person should honour and value the role of mothers in their lives. Chaudhary’s mother, Parvati Devi, passed away in 2022 and continues to be remembered in Bihar’s political and social circles. She had served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly after winning a by-election in 1998 on a Samata Party ticket. People who knew her still remember her active involvement in public life and social work. The chief minister’s tribute on Mother’s Day brought back memories of her contribution and also highlighted the emotional side of political leaders beyond public life.
