Patna: The summer vacation in Patna is about to become more exciting for school children as the Shrikrishna Science Centre has announced the beginning of its Summer Vacation Hobby Camp 2026 from May 24. The camp has been specially designed for students who are interested in science, technology and creative learning. Instead of traditional classroom teaching, children will learn through experiments, activities and interactive workshops that make science easier and more enjoyable to understand. The programme is expected to attract a large number of students during the school holidays as parents increasingly look for educational activities that are both useful and entertaining.
According to the Science Centre, students from Classes 4 to 12 can participate in the camp. Children will get the opportunity to learn different subjects including astronomy, life sciences, robotics, electronics, mathematics, chemistry and computer programming. Officials said the lessons will be taught in a simple and engaging manner so that students from all age groups can easily understand scientific ideas. The camp is aimed not only at improving knowledge but also at developing curiosity and confidence among children who wish to explore science beyond school textbooks.
The training sessions during the camp will focus completely on activity-based learning. Children will perform experiments on their own, participate in practical demonstrations and work on creative projects with guidance from experts. Organisers believe this hands-on approach will help students understand scientific concepts more clearly while also improving their problem-solving skills. The Science Centre said the main objective is to encourage scientific thinking among young minds and inspire them to explore new ideas in a creative environment.
Several special workshops have also been planned as part of the camp. Programmes such as “Cosmic Wonders”, “Bio Quest”, “Build and Learn”, “Grow Without Soil”, “Code and Create”, “Physics in Your Hands”, “Chemistry in Colors” and “Numbers and Beyond” will allow children to learn different aspects of science in an interesting way. Each workshop has separate dates, age limits and participation fees so that students can choose sessions according to their interests and age group. The organisers hope these workshops will make science more exciting and practical for children during their summer break.
The Project Director of the Science Centre said the camp has been organised with the aim of creating greater interest in science and innovation among children. Officials added that such programmes can help students develop creativity and practical understanding from an early age. Interested students and parents can register online through the registration link provided by the Science Centre, while more details related to schedules and fees can be collected directly from the centre’s office.
