Munger: Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary marked the Chhath festival with his family in Munger, offering prayers to the setting Sun and seeking blessings for the prosperity and well-being of the state.
Sharing moments from the celebration on X (formerly Twitter), Choudhary wrote that he offered arghya to the setting Sun among devotees in Tarapur. He prayed that “the grace of Lord Bhaskar and Chhathi Maiya continues to bless Bihar” and wished for the state’s development, progress, and prosperity.

“Jai Chhathi Maiya!” he concluded his post, joining millions across Bihar and beyond in observing the four-day festival dedicated to the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya, a symbol of faith and devotion in the region.
