Patna: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) Patna came alive this week with a vibrant celebration of Indian heritage, as SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) hosted a captivating cultural evening on campus. The event featured traditional Rajasthani folk dance and music performances that immersed the audience in the colours, rhythm, and spirit of India’s desert state.

Performers enthralled students and faculty with their graceful movements, vibrant costumes, and soulful melodies, creating an atmosphere that echoed the warmth and artistry of Rajasthan. The event highlighted India’s rich cultural diversity, aiming to deepen students’ understanding and appreciation of traditional art forms beyond academic boundaries.

Through such initiatives, SPIC MACAY continues to bridge the gap between young people and India’s timeless cultural heritage, nurturing creativity and respect for traditional arts among modern learners.
NIFT Patna Director Col. Rahul Sharma lauded SPIC MACAY’s efforts in promoting Indian art and culture, expressing gratitude to the artists for their “enchanting performance.” He emphasized that cultural exposure is integral to shaping well-rounded design professionals, blending technical excellence with creative depth.
