Patna: St Michael’s High School held its annual Montessori concert on Sunday, bringing together students, parents and dignitaries for an evening themed around “Sarve Bhuvantu Sukhinah” — a call for universal wellbeing and peaceful coexistence.
The pre-primary students presented a series of performances exploring harmony, compassion and social responsibility. Their acts, marked by colour, energy and emotion, reflected the school’s emphasis on holistic development and value-based education, and highlighted the importance of nurturing empathy from early childhood.

The programme began with the welcome of chief guest Himanshu Sharma, IAS and CEO of Jeevika, alongside Shirsat Kapil Ashok, IAS and managing director of the Bihar Road Construction Department and COMFED; Swadha Rizvi, IFS and regional passport officer; Kartikeya Sharma, IPS and SSP Patna; and Sr Vidya SSH, provincial superior.

They were joined by the school’s rector, Fr Norbert Menezes SJ; principal Fr A Christu Savarirajan SJ; vice-principal of the primary school, Sister Magdali Beck SSH; vice-principal of the high school, Dr Marie D’Cruz; parents and other invited guests. The school band offered a guard of honour before the anthem and bouquet presentation.

The vice-principal of the primary section expressed gratitude to teachers, support staff, security teams, technicians, media personnel and parents, acknowledging the collective effort that contributed to the event’s success.

The evening concluded with a grand finale and the national anthem, closing a programme that left attendees with a renewed appreciation for the message at its heart: the pursuit of happiness and wellbeing for all.
