Champaran: A shocking kidnapping case has been reported in Bihar’s West Champaran district. A young teacher was taken away in broad daylight while she was going to take tuition classes. The incident happened on 12 August in the Bairia police station area. Police say the accused, Tinku Kumar, kidnapped the woman with the intention of marriage.
According to information, the teacher was walking with her younger sister when the accused stopped her at a deserted place and forced her onto a bike. The younger sister ran home and told the family what had happened. Later, the girl’s mother went to the accused’s house, where his parents promised that she would be returned, but even after many days she has not been found.
An FIR was registered 10 days after the incident. Police station in-charge Anuj Kumar Singh said raids are being conducted to rescue the girl and strict action will be taken against the accused. The case has created panic among locals and raised questions about law and order in the district.
This comes soon after another case in Sasaram, where a teacher was also kidnapped but rescued by police within hours. Families in the area say such incidents are spreading fear and making parents worried about their children’s safety.
