Muzaffarpur: Two teenage boys have been arrested for throwing stones at the Gorakhpur-Patliputra Vande Bharat Express in Bihar. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested them from Motipur market in Muzaffarpur district after checking CCTV footage from the train.
Both boys are students of a school near the railway tracks. They were presented in the Juvenile Court on Saturday under security. The court will now decide the next action against them.
The stone-pelting incidents took place on 27 June between Mahwal and Motipur stations, and again on 30 June between Mahwal and Kaparpura stations. The train’s glass windows were broken, but luckily no passenger was injured.
The Vande Bharat trains have many high-quality CCTV cameras for security. The RPF team checked the footage, identified the boys, and arrested them. Further legal steps will be taken as per the Juvenile Court’s order.
