Sonepur: A teenage girl has gone missing from the famous Sonepur fair area in Bihar, creating panic and fear within her family. The girl had gone to the fair during the evening but did not return home even late at night. When her family realised that she was missing, they immediately began searching for her. They looked across the fairgrounds and nearby places, asking people for information, but no one had seen her or could provide any clue about where she might be.
According to a complaint filed by the girl’s mother at the Sonepur police station, the family spent the entire night searching for the minor girl. As hours passed with no information, their worry grew stronger. The situation became even more frightening when the family received a phone call from an unknown number. The caller demanded money and claimed that the girl would be safely returned after the payment was made. The caller also mentioned that the girl would be dropped at a specific location once the money was received.
The family said that when they tried to call back the same number to ask for more details, the phone was switched off. Soon after this, another call came from a different number. This caller allegedly threatened the family, warning them not to inform the police or anyone else. The caller reportedly said that if the matter was reported, the girl would be killed. These threats have left the family in deep shock and constant fear for the girl’s life.
Fearing that their daughter may have been kidnapped, the girl’s mother approached the police and urged the authorities to take immediate action. Police officials have said that they are treating the case seriously and have started an investigation. The call details are being examined, and efforts are being made to trace the callers and locate the missing girl. The administration has assured the family that all necessary steps are being taken to ensure the girl’s safe return.
